Sinful Colors About Blooming Time: Flower Power and Petal Be the Day

As I said in my last post, I am over winter and looking forward to spring.  Sinful Colors is helping out with their About Blooming Time collection!  I snagged Flower Power and Petal Be the Day, and one is a keeper and one is going to a different home.

Flower Power is a milky pink jelly filled with matte white and shiny fuchsia hex glitter in several sizes.  It's flower-like but with a bit of drama, was opaque in three coats and dried very quickly.  It does dry noticeably rough, so you'll want a second coat of a thick top coat, but it's so worth it, especially for $1.99!

Petal Be the Day is a lavender milky jelly with shiny blue and lavender hex glitter in two sizes.  Unfortunately, it was much sheerer than Flower Power, and there was a lot of visible nail after three coats.  This one will probably work well as a layering polish, but I have plenty of those, so I'm giving it away.

A note about finding these polishes--the Sinful Colors promo pictures show a small counter display called About Blooming Time, with 8 polishes.  Three of them are new, the two I've shown here and another glitter called Standing Bloom Only.  The new glitter polishes have little yellow and pink stickers on the cap which say Sinful Colors BLOOMBLAST.  My Walgreens did not have the counter display, just a large end-cap display, and I found these polishes by the sticker.  So don't despair if you don't see the display, just check all the other Sinful displays.

Nayll Custom Polish: Puppy Breath

My next custom polish from Nayll is kind of a bitter joke on my dog.  Friends have told me that their dogs have pleasant puppy breath, especially when they're waking their owners in the morning.  My dog eats mulch and the dirt from houseplants and will catch and kill mice and once even a rat, so not even the best breath-freshening chewies are much help.  So if my girl's breath smelled like the good things she eats, there'd be green for mint, white for yogurt, orange for carrots and gold for corn.  And of course, it would all be kibble-shaped, i.e. round, in a pale, milky peach jelly base!

All swatches are two coats of Puppy Breath, no top coat.

KB Shimmer Snow Much Fun

Snow Much Fun is a pale blue milky jelly stuffed with snowflake glitter, white circle glitter, blue holo glitter and silver holo micro-glitter.  The formula is lovely, smooth and easy to work with, and so pretty that it wouldn't bother me if I hadn't gotten any snowflakes on my nails.  Swatches are two coats with no fishing and I still got snowflakes on my nails!  Snow Much Fun dries shiny but bumpy, so if that bothers you, use a nice thick top coat to smooth things out. :)

China Glaze It's a Trap-Eze!

It's a Trap-Eze! is part of the China Glaze and Cirque de Soleil collection.  It's a lovely, soft, milky white jelly absolutely stuffed with multi-colored glitter.  It's fantastic and feminine and fun!   It was surprisingly easy to work with and was perfect in three thin coats.  It dried a bit bumpy, but I only needed two coats of Zoya Armor to smooth it out.  All swatches are three coats plus top coat.

The Cirque de Soleil collection was LE, but the polishes are still available at most e-tailers, and brick and mortar stores like Sally Beauty and Ulta might still have some bottles.  China Glaze polishes retail from $3.25-$6.99 each.
