China Glaze Wicked Collection: Bizarre Blurple

Bizarre Blurple is the second polish I got from China Glaze's 2012 Halloween Collection.  It's a perfectly balanced indigo, right between blue and purple, hence the name.  It's dark but never appears black, is opaque in two effortless coats, and fairly shiny before top coat.  The name brought back a memory--the first time I heard the neologism "blurple" wasn't on a nail polish blog, but from a Marine recruiter describing the custom shade he'd had his personal Jeep painted. :)  All swatches are two coats with no topcoat.

China Glaze Wicked Collection: Immortal

China Glaze's 2012 Halloween Collection, Wicked, only had two polishes I really wanted, and Immortal is the first of the two.  Immortal is a grey crème with fine violet-blue shimmer, which was very shy in my photographs but showed up well in daylight on my nails.  Immortal was a little thick, but not so bad I needed thinner, and it was opaque in two coats.  All swatches are two coats with no topcoat.

Jessica Cosmetics Spicy Dream: Pumpkin Delight

Pumpkin Delight was the last Spicy Dream polish I got.  It's a medium copper foil with gold micro-glitter.  The formula was easy to use and the dry time was fast.  It took three coats to become opaque, but because of the gorgeous color and the quick dry time, I had no problem doing three coats.  All swatches are three coats with no top coat.

Jessica Cosmetics Spicy Dream: Cinnamon Kiss

The second Spicy Dream polish I got is Cinnamon Kiss.  It's a gorgeous blackened orange-red shimmer.  The formula was perfect and the dry time was quick.  It took only two coats to become opaque.  All swatches are twocoats with no top coat.

Jessica Cosmetics Spicy Dream: Gingersnap

Gingersnap is part of Jessica Cosmetics' 2012 Autumn Collection, Spicy Dream.  It's a bronze-brown foil with copper micro-glitter.  The formula was easy to use and the dry time was quick.  It took three coats to become opaque, but I think the color is totally worth it.  All swatches are three coats with no top coat.

DifferentDimension Week Day 6: Spectral Tiger

Today's DifferentDimension polish is Spectral Tiger, a clear jelly base with silver holo microglitter, blue, aqua and purple to blue square glitter, and matte white hex glitter.  It's almost opaque in three coats, and you could use four if visible nail line bothers you.  All of DifferentDimension's glow polishes tend to need shaking, because the glow-in-the-dark glitter sinks like mad.  But if you shake it like it knows where Grandpa left the coffee can with all his money, it gives off a nice blue glow.  All swatches are three coats.
