Zoya Naturel Satins

press samples

I'm back, and I think I'll be posting about the absence, but today I have the Zoya Naturel Satin collection for your viewing pleasure--pics and comments after the jump.

Zoya describes the Naturel Satins as "new, neutral nail polish colors in an ultra-wearable, low-sheen, chic satin finish. A hybrid between matte and glossy polishes, the new Zoya Satin* formula provides opaque coverage and is longer lasting than traditional matte shades. The flawlessly smooth finish hides imperfections and creates a luxurious, satin finish nail look."

The colors are definitely neutrals, albeit slightly edgy ones.  The finish is definitely a satin matte, not chalky but not shiny either.  Coverage was opaque in two coats for the lighter shades and one for the darker shades, and the viscosity was a bit thicker than Zoya's typical formula but certainly not thick.

The only place I disagree with the press release is the claim that the finish hides imperfections.  Would that it were so, but you can see from the pictures that my flawed nails don't look perfect.  That said, I do like all six colors, adore the finish, and have plans to wear all of them in the future.

Ana is a pale, yellow-toned cream, opaque in two coats.

As underwhelmed as I was by the press release, I'm really sold on these polishes.  I've always loved a satin matte finish, and the colors are so soft and dreamlike!  All six Naturel Satins are available now at Zoya for $9 each + shipping (and sales tax if you live in Ohio).
