My Easter manicure

It's possible that you've already seen this mani, because I was lucky enough to make the cut for NouveauCheap's Easter manicure roundup. If you have, this post has some more information, including my inspiration, and if you haven't, well, here it is!

I have always loved sugar eggs at Easter, and I knew that this year I wanted to do a manicure to reflect those beautiful creations I remembered from my childhood. When I did a search for pictures, I was astonished to find someone who still makes sugar eggs and sells them! Sugar4U makes these beautiful eggs and sells them on Etsy, and frankly, they are even prettier than the ones I remember!

Here is my inspiration, 4 of Sugar4U's lovely eggs:

From pinky to thumb, I used two coats each of China Glaze Encouragement, Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Sea, China Glaze Light as Air, Sinful Colors Cinderella and Orly Au Champagne. I then added one coat of Orly Winter Wonderland over all the nails, then a coat of Joe Fresh matte topcoat, followed by a dot of white fauxnad polish with a contrasting color rhinestone in the middle.

I really, really love this--it's very soft and springy and does remind me of sugar eggs.

Happy Easter!

  1. Happy Easter!! Congrats on making it on the Easter manicure post!! This is very pretty! The eggs are so pretty too, is it weird that I've never heard of sugar eggs?
